Today, April 22, the Department of Meteorology has forecasted light showers in the Uva province and the districts of Ampara, Batticaloa, Matale, Nuwara-Eliya, and Hambantota. Most other parts of Sri Lanka will experience mostly clear weather. Additionally, strong winds, reaching speeds of around 40 km/h, are expected at times over the Eastern slopes of the central hills, as well as in the North-western province and the districts of Ampara, Hambantota, and Monaragala. In the early morning hours, misty conditions may occur in some areas of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Central provinces, along with the districts of Galle and Matara.
