U.S. President Donald Trump warned on Monday that the United States might support another major strike against Iran if the country resumes its ballistic missile or nuclear weapons programs. He also cautioned Hamas about serious consequences if they do not disarm. This statement came during a press conference alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after their meeting at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. Trump indicated that Iran might be trying to rebuild its weapons programs following a significant U.S. strike in June. “I’ve been reading that they’re building up weapons and other things, and if they are, they’re not using the sites we obliterated, but possibly different sites,” Trump stated to reporters. He continued, “We know exactly where they’re going, what they’re doing, and I hope they’re not doing it because we don’t want to waste fuel on a B-2,” referring to the bomber involved in the earlier strike. “It’s a 37-hour trip both ways. I don’t want to waste a lot of fuel.” Recently, Trump has discussed a potential nuclear deal with Tehran. His discussions with Netanyahu also covered advancing the fragile Gaza peace agreement he facilitated and addressing Israel's worries about Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Iran, which engaged in a 12-day conflict with Israel in June, announced last week that it had carried out missile exercises for the second time this month. Netanyahu remarked that Israel was not aiming for a conflict with Iran but acknowledged the reports and mentioned he would discuss Tehran’s actions with Trump. Trump expressed his desire to move to the second phase of the ceasefire deal between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas, which was reached in October after two years of fighting in Gaza. This next step includes deploying international peacekeeping forces in the Palestinian area.
