Six people, including two women, were arrested for allegedly digging in a land area in Devi Puram, located in Puthukudiyiruppu, looking for artifacts. During this operation, police also took away the digging equipment used. The raid happened after the Mullaitivu Police Special Task Force (STF) received a tip-off. The male suspects, aged between 35 and 48, come from Anuradhapura, Inamaluwa, Moragoda, and Galewela. The two women, aged 36 and 45, are from Madatugama and Devi Puram. The Puthukudiyiruppu Police are still investigating this case.
