Police have arrested the wife of Anura Pushpakumara, known as “Batu Meeya,” in connection with the murder of Warusavithana Mirantha, who was the Chairman of the Modara Devalaya Committee in Ambalangoda. Along with her, three other people were also taken into custody in Polonnaruwa. Authorities reported that more than 20 grams of heroin were found in their possession. After their arrest, the suspects were brought before the Polonnaruwa Magistrate, who allowed police to hold and question them for 72 hours. Investigations are continuing.
