A humanitarian aid aircraft from the United Arab Emirates arrived in Sri Lanka this morning (02), delivering assistance to communities impacted by the ongoing disaster, Sri Lanka Latest News reports.
The shipment includes essential relief supplies, such as food items and temporary shelter materials including tents.
The aid was formally handed over by Rashed Ali Al Mazrouei, Second Secretary of the UAE Embassy in Colombo, to Sewwandi de Silva, Director (Middle East) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Major General Sumedha Wijekoon; and Captain Daminda Rambukwella, Director General and CEO of the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka.
