A multi-day fishing boat, which the Sri Lanka Navy caught with illegal drugs in the southern waters, has been brought to Dikkowita Fisheries Harbour. The Navy reported that the boat arrived at the harbour at about 6:00 a.m. today, the 24th. Five people who were on the fishing vessel have also been arrested. According to the Navy, the drugs found in 11 sacks on the boat were identified as crystal methamphetamine, also known as ‘Ice,’ and heroin. Early investigations show that the vessel left from Gandara. The total amount and worth of the seized drugs have not been determined yet.
