The Sri Lanka Railways Department has announced that eight special train services will operate for the convenience of pilgrims and tourists travelling to Kandy for the Randoli Perahera of the annual Esala Perahera. The special train services will run daily from August 4 to 8, connecting key towns including Colombo Fort, Kandy, Matale, Nawalapitiya, and Polgahawela. According to the schedule:
