LNP – Not possible to mete out justice on behalf of Easter attack victims in a month or two: Minister

It is not possible to mete out justice for those who were affected by the Easter Sunday attacks within a month or two, Minister of Science and Technology Chrishantha Abeysena told Parliament yesterday.

“It is not possible to mete out justice for those who were affected by the Easter Sunday attacks within a month or two. We understood this fact only after we took over the government,” the Minister said, speaking during the committee stage debate on the budget.

“However, we try our best to do something this month,” he added.

Also, he said no one including the administration of former President Ranil Wickremesinghe was able to find out the truth behind the Easter Sunday attacks.” There were MPs who dined with the former President but did not press him to do anything about the Easter Sunday attacks,” he said.
