LNP – More customers to buy fresh red roses, a single red rose costs Rs.200

Florists on Ven Baddegama Wimalawansa Mawatha in Town Hall, Colombo, claimed more customers are purchasing roses for Valentine’s Day as compared to previous years.

The lowest price for a single fresh red rose costs Rs.200. A single red rose wrapped costs Rs. 250, while a bouquet of red roses costs between Rs.8,000 and Rs. 12,000. Certain bouquets with several roses cost an average of Rs. 10,500,” the sellers said.

The highest price of a Nuwara Eliya local rose is Rs.400 and importred rose from India costs Rs.300 ,” the florists said.

The lowest price of a normal flower bouquet with mixed flowers is Rs.2,000 and the highest price is Rs.4,500. The average price of a normal flower bouquet is Rs.2,833, the florists said.
