LNP – Visitors to be allowed in Sigiriya during moon-lit nights

In a bid to boost revenue from tourism, the Tourism Ministry has decided to allow visitors at historic rock fortress Sigiriya at moon-lit nights.  Â


The Ministry will allow people to visit it for five days a month- full moon day, two days prior to the full moon day and two days after.  Â


Currently, visitors are allowed during day time between 6.00 am and 6.00pm. The programme is called ‘Sigiriya in Moon’.
