Sri Lankan cricketers have made significant inroads into the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, with seven players including one uncapped player securing high-profile deals at the mega auction held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.Â

1. Eshan MalingaÂ
  The 23-year-old Sri Lankan speedster, yet to make his national debut, was snapped up by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for INR 1.20 crore (equivalent to LKR 4.14 crore).Â
2. Kamindu MendisÂ
  The versatile all-rounder also joined SRH for INR 75 lakh (equivalent to LKR 2.58 crore). His ability to contribute with both bat and ball will make him a valuable asset for the franchise. Â
3. Nuwan Thushara
  The slinging fast bowler, secured a deal with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for INR 1.60 crore (equivalent to LKR 5.52 crore). Â
4. Dushmantha Chameera Â
  The experienced pacer was acquired by Delhi Capitals (DC) for INR 75 lakh (equivalent to LKR 2.58 crore). His expertise in the death overs will be a valuable addition to DCâs bowling unit. Â

  The young speedster, who has been a revelation in the IPL, was retained by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for INR 13 crore (equivalent to LKR 44.89 crore).Â

  The leg-spinning all-rounder was purchased by Rajasthan Royals (RR) for a whopping INR 5.25 crore (equivalent to LKR 18.13 crore). The wrist-spinner has emerged as a match-winner for the Sri Lankans in limited-overs cricket.
-Maheesh Theekshana
  Another notable addition to the Rajasthan Royals, Theekshana bagged a deal worth INR 4.40 crore (equivalent to LKR 15.19 crore). The Sri Lankan off-spinner has featured in three IPL seasons so far (2022-2024), all for Chennai Super Kings.
