LNP – Tensions rise as Nawalapitiya villagers confront Pastor Jerome

A tense situation arose between the security officers of Pastor Jerome Fernando and villagers of Nawalapitiya when Jerome arrived in the area to oversee the construction of a rehabilitation centre for children.Â

Villagers claimed that he was planning to build a religious facility instead.

The police had to intervene to bring the situation under control. Amid massive protests, Pastor Jerome left the scene.
