As the 2024 General Elections approach, the Election Commission has issued guidelines on how to vote and choose the preferred candidates.
According to the Commission, each voter has one vote, which can be given to either a political party or an independent group.
To vote, place an ‘x’ mark next to the symbol of the party you support or in front of the number and symbol of the independent group,†the Commission stated.
Further, voters can also choose up to three candidates from their selected party or group. Accordingly, the voters can place an ‘x’ mark next to the number of each candidate at the end of the ballot paper.
The Election Commission also said that if anyone votes for more than one party or group, or use any mark other than an ‘x,’ the ballot will be rejected.Â
Meanwhile, postal voting for the 2024 General Elections, which started on October 30 has entered the third day.
