Claiming that it is more than enough for a certain group to rule the country for 76 years, former President Chandrika Kumaratunge said a new group must come to power.
Speaking at the 45th National Conference of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka last night, she said that doors must be opened for everyone who is educated and ethical to take up leadership.
She said the new group must be educated, knowledgeable in governance and honest.
âNow, I spend my time not on politics but to create new young leaders. We have formed several organisations and are brining in new leaders,â she said.
