The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has granted permission for scheduled power outages for tomorrow (22) in response to a request from the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) today.
PUCSL Chairman Janaka Ratnayake said the decision was made due to the absence of fuel for 541 MW power plants.
Hence, a two-hour powercut from 4.30 pm to10.30 pm will affect groups A, B, and C, and three hours for the other groups.
