Twelve suspects have been arrested with drugs after police raided a party at a tourist lodge at Midigama in Weligama.
The Matara Divisional Crime Investigation Division raided the tourist lodge on information received that a party had been organized trough social media.
During the raid, six suspects were arrested with 1.6 grams of Cocaine and two suspects were arrested with 01 mg 320 mg of Methamphetamine. Two suspects were in possession with 3.6g of Kerala cannabis and 1.250 grams of kush while two more suspects had 1.7g of hash drugs.
The arrested suspects, aged between 30 and 45 are identified as residents of Ampara, Talpe, Medagama, Matara, Thanamalwila, Tissamaharama and Gonapinuwela.
