While claiming the current shortage of ‘Litro’ gas is due to a distribution issue, a senior official of the Litro Gas Company said that ships carrying Liquid Petroleum (LP) gas have reached the Colombo Port.
He said with the arrival of the gas shipment, the present gas shortage will be fulfilled. It was reported that there is a severe shortage of litro gas in several areas in the country.
The company increased the price of a domestic gas cylinder on October 11, saying that they were unable to continue with their business in which they incurred a heavy loss under the prevailing prices.
Recently, the premier gas importers have increased their prices.
