LNP – Tax of Rs. 40 on imported big onions from today: Agri. Minister

A tax of Rs. 40 per kilogram will be levied on imported big onions with effect from today, Agriculture Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage said.

Addressing the media at the weekly cabinet meeting, he said this decision was taken to strengthen the local farmers.
