Police have found a note written on the wall of the room where the 16-year-old girl, who died of burn injuries was staying while serving as a domestic helper in the house of former minister Rishad Bathiudeen.
Police Spokesman SDIG Ajith Rohana said that while inspecting the room where the girl was staying at the MPâs house, a note had been written on the wall in a way that gives a Tamil meaning in English letters.
He said the meaning of the word is âthe cause of my deathâ.
The Spokesman said that the investigation officers took a photograph of the wall with the sentence for further investigation.
In addition, the room was also inspected by handwriting experts from the Government Analystâs Department yesterday.
SDIG Rohana said that investigators had found several books used by the girl during her school days and were examining them to match whether the sentence on the wall was written by her

Is it really correct to provide a daily running commentary by the Police, when such a high profile case is still being investigated and a matter for the Courts? This will certainly lead to a distorted opinion being created and the accused found guilty even before the judicial process is completed. Absolute rubbish! - this is land like no other - Sri Lanka
