The highest number of vaccinations in Sri Lanka so far against Covid-19 was administered yesterday, the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry said.
Accordingly, a total of 437,878 people had been vaccinated yesterday alone.
The first dose of the Sinopharm vaccine was given to 356,628 people and the number of people who received the second dose was 55,722.
Also, the first dose of the Moderna vaccine was given to 25,240 people yesterday.
The Epidemiology Unit announced that 108 doses of the Pfizer vaccine were given yesterday.
At present, the number of people who have received the first dose of vaccine in Sri Lanka is 7,839,638 while the number of people who have received both doses is 1,882,693.
