The Cabinet yesterday approved producing the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine in Sri Lanka with Government intervention. It has been decided to vest the authority to the State Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Corporation to sign the relevant agreements for this purpose. Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi had presented the Cabinet paper in this regard.
