Nushad Perera has resigned as the chairman of the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI).
Nushad Perera said it was not a sudden decision to resign from the position but he is resigning to rejoin the private sector.
He handed over the letter of resignation to the President Secretary on April 19 and the effective date of resignation was on April 30.
He was appointed as the Chairman of the SLSI in December, 2020.
