When ever a bumper harvest is harvested there is many wasteful practices which takes place. Ultimately it is the poor farmers who suffer due to lack of storage facilities. The authorities must ensure the poor farmers are not affected by excess supply and resultant price drops. Ultimately in such situations it is the middlemen who make the money.
