South Africa suspends cigarette sales

Following the World Health Organization (WHO) cautioning linking Corona deaths with tobacco consumption, the government of South Africa has decided to suspend the sale of cigarettes.

‘The South African’ newspaper reported that the suspension on the sale of cigarettes followed the ban on alcohol.

South Africa is grappling with a tally of 927 infected persons and the government has declared a three weeks lock down.
