Sri Lanka led by Dinesh Herath will field a nine-member strong contingent for the World Para Athletics Championship 2019, which will be held from November 7 to 15 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Paralympic track and field event, organised by the World Para Athletics Sub-committee of the International Paralympic Committee will see the participation of 114 countries fielding over 1,500 competitors at the Dubai event.
At the previous World Para Athletics Championship held in London, United Kingdom, Dinesh Herath secured Sri Lanka’s lone Silver Medal in the javelin throw, falling short by 2.43 meters to Sundar Sing of India.
