Meddlesome politicos trying to hinder investigations

The constant undue interference from powerful politicos at national level and their kith and kin has become a big headache to the white-collar high-up appointed to investigate the alleged irregularities of the central provincial ministries.

Â
In one instance, a roly-poly loud-mouthed political bigwig has asked the inquiring officer not to investigate a certain glaring irregularity. In another instance, the daughter of a leading central province politico has pressed him not to go ahead with inquiries into another case of corruption.
Those exerting pressure on the inquiring officer are said to have been unduly involved in transfers, appointments and promotions carried out by the provincial administration.
However, the inquiring officer is said to be carrying out his investigations regardless of the meddling by powerful politicos.
