A former political provincial chief has got seven khaki personnel  deployed to provide security to both his Colombo and Jaffna residences,  they say.
This former high-up, who got himself distanced from the main Northern  alliance professing that he is closer to his people than the alliance’s  leaders, is said to be maintaining close ties with some political  authorities in the South for his own benefit.
Meanwhile, the khaki personnel deployed for the security of the two  residences are said to be having their own ways showing scant respect  for departmental regulations.
