Thripitaka now a National Heritage

Thripitaka, the sacred scripture of Buddhists, was declared as a national heritage of Sri Lanka by President Maithripala Sirisena at the‘Aluvihara’ Temple in Matale today. Around 2,000 monks participated in the ceremony.
