There is a fair local body member in a Korale surrounded by a river who has taken upon herself the job of advising the masons and other workmen at construction sites on the mixing-ratio of cement, metal and sand for making mortar and concrete.
This female has been nominated as a member from the list by a  popular political bigwig from the Central Province.
From the time of being appointed a member, the fair one has been getting involved in all construction projects of the local body and would go around construction sites giving instructions to workmen. He would always instruct them to use cement, sand and metal sparingly.
“I have earlier functioned as the secretary to the Highways Minister. Therefore, I am talking with some practical knowledge. You must follow my instructions,†she would tell the masons, they say.
