NTPC and CEB is planning a 500 MegaWatt LNG plant in Kerawalapitiya in the Western Province.
The draft shareholders agreements had been prepared following several working group meeting between the two agencies.
The plant is coming without open tender on a government-to-government basis.
Another 500MW plant with Japanâs Sojitz Corporation, Mitsubishi and the CEB, and a 400 MW plant with Chinaâs CMEC in Hambantota is in negotiation. (Colombo/Sept19/2018)
