Land deeds were distributed among estate workers in Panwila, Kandy under the auspices of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Addressing the event the Prime Minister noted that this is just the beginning and that 7 perches of land would be given to all estate workers. He noted that when he engaged in programs similar to this he gets scolded through the media.
The Premier noted that through the Enterprise Sri Lanka program the Government will provide money for startups, he noted that the country is on the road to development. While speaking on the Governmentâs actions the Premier also lamented that he does not receive a fair opportunity through the media and even called some outlets out by name.
