The cabinet has endorsed a proposal by health minister Dr. Rajith Senaratne to rent Medi House (Pvt) Ltd-owned building at Sangaraja Mawatha, Colombo 10, to house his Ministry for two years at a monthly payment of Rs. 9.07 mn, the post-cabinet media briefing was told yesterday.
Addressing the media at the Information Department, Lands and Parliamentary Reforms Minister Gayantha Karunatilleke said that the 55,000 square feet space was available. The minister said that temporary accommodation was required until the construction of a new building for the ministry.
