Sri Lanka Police says information has been revealed that the grenade which caused the explosion in a bus in Diyatalawa was in the luggage of a soldier.
Police Media Spokesman Superintendent Ruwan Gunasekara said the information was revealed following initial investigations launched into the explosion.
The Police Media Spokesman said investigations have been launched by the Government Analystâs Department which is headed by a senior officer while investigations into the explosion have also been launched by Sri Lanka Police.
Superintendent Ruwan Gunasekara said the investigations are also assisted by the Police Special Task Force and the Bomb Disposal Unit.
The Police Media Spokesman said legal action will be taken against those responsible.
