Jan 25, 2018 (LBO) â Sunshine Holdings has invested 9 million rupees to partner with Strategic Business Innovator (Pvt) Ltd, an investment firm to be set up in Sri Lanka.
Sunshine Holdings is currently in partnership with Singapore based SBI Ven Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, a subsidiary of SBI Holdings and veteran investment banker Viraj Malawana to set-up this new firm.
SBI Ven Holdings (Pvt) Ltd incorporated in 2007 operates as an investment holding company.
Strategic Business Innovator (Pvt) Ltd will be the SBI Holdingsâ liaison office in Sri Lanka and Sunshine Holdings will have a 20 percent in this new venture.
âThe SBI Group is a key player in the Japanese securities industry and has keen interests in the financial services sector in Japan,â Sunshine Holdings said in a stock exchange filing.
âIts move to Sri Lanka is to entice Japanese investors to enter Sri Lanka and will provide such investors with a one stop advisory covering the entire gamut of the investment process.â
