Royal College sets Guinness World Record

The Records Management Team of the Guinness World Records recently announced that the attempt by Royal College to break the record for the most number of water rockets launched simultaneously was successful and that the school is now a Guinness World Records title holder.

This attempt was made by the Astronomical Society of Royal College in celebration of their 50th anniversary and the World Science Day on November 10 participated by 2000 students from grade 6 to 10. A total of 1950 water rockets were successfully launched and this was sufficient enough to break the former record of 1056 rockets which was achieved by the students at Shap Pat Heung Rural Committee Kung Yik She Secondary School (China) in Tin Shui Wai, Hong Kong, China on December 7, 2013.
