The Joint opposition says it will render its fullest support to conduct a free and fair Local Government election.
Speaking to NewsRadio, Parliamentarian Dinesh Gunawardena said the election will be free of corruption.
MP Gunawardena said objections have been raised by the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna over the rejection of two nomination papers due to some shortcomings adding wherever nominations were rejected political parties and groups can be expected to file cases.
Parliamentarian Dinesh Gunawardena noted it is now clear that the election will be a fair one void of corruption or wrongdoing.
MP Gunawardena stated the Joint Opposition would support the Elections Commission to carry out its duties and hold a free and fair election.
