The acceptance of applications for postal voting for the upcoming Local Government Election will conclude today.
The Elections Commission in a statement said, the timeframe to accept applications will not be extended under any circumstance.
Therefore the Elections Commission requested all eligible applicants to submit the completed applications to the respective Certifying Officer.
The Commission also said all Certifying Officers will be responsible to direct the certified applications to the Returning Officer of the respective Electoral Division.
The Elections commission requested all individuals who did not submit applications to post offices, to personally hand over the papers to the relevant District Secretariats.
Accordingly all applications received after today will be rejected as delayed applications.
