Colombo City Centre powered by SLT’s ultra-high speed Fibre connectivity

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) recently signed an agreement to provide Fiber To The Home (FTTH) infrastructure network facility, which is the world’s most reliable connectivity option for the Colombo City Centre (CCC) property.

This agreement will facilitate unprecedented download speeds of up to 1Gbps via Fibre Optics for the Colombo City Centre. SLT will also provide state of the art technology and maintenance of the systems, ensuring high quality and superior service at all times. This service from Sri Lankan Telecom which facilitates 1 Gbps (1000 Mbps) broadband internet speed to residents, puts Sri Lanka on par with an elite few cities in the world such as Singapore, Manhattan and Seoul where residents have this speed of internet.

The Colombo City Centre is a 47 storey landmark property designed with a luxury retail, hotel and apartment segments. All these segments will be powered with ultra-high speed broadband through SLT Fibre connectivity. According to the agreement, to create a digital environment suited for the aspirational lifestyle, SLT will be investing in vertical FTTH for the first time, making CCC a fully fibre optics enabled high rise building.

With the fiberization of the property, all segments of the CCC will have access to high quality SLT triple play services (HD quality voice, high speed broadband internet and IPTV services with HD channels) as well as internal voice communications between the apartments in the residency via Fibre Optic connectivity. Furthermore, apartment owners will have the option of choosing a managed TV system through which customers can select their preferred channel line-up, according to their individual preferences and requirements.

“Colombo City Center has been designed to provide residents with an extraordinary lifestyle experience on par with the best,- internationally. Therefore steps have been taken to ensure that each and every aspect of the building is built according to the highest standards. This is why we have chosen to partner with SLT as the Exclusive Telecommunication Service Provider for this project as we are fully confident of their capabilities and commitment to meeting the high standards of expectations that are in keeping with the Colombo City Center” said Anand Sundaram, CEO of Colombo City Centre.
