SLC support staff agree to tour Lahore

Sri Lanka’s support staff has have agreed to tour Lahore for the proposed third and final T20I against Pakistan.

As per media reports the staff includes batting coach Hashan Thilakaratne, bowling coach Rumesh Ratnayake, Manager Asanka Gurusinha and head coach Nic Pothas, all of whom have played international cricket.

According to Cricbuzz all four have received phone calls from Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur.

Sri Lanka Cricket CEO, Ashley de Silva is likely to receive a personalised letter from all members of the support staff conveying their availability.

Earlier, it was reported that around 40 centrally contracted Sri Lankan players had in a letter to SLC President Thilanga Sumathipala asked for a change of venue.

Meanwhile, the International Cricket Council has expressed complete satisfaction in the arrangements made in Lahore for the match.

The ICC will also be sending a match referee and an anti-corruption official.

The third T20I is slated to be played on October 29.
