72nd UN General Assembly to conclude today

The 72nd United Nations General Assembly is scheduled to conclude today.

The session commenced on the 19th of September at the UN Headquarters in New York.

President Maithripala Sirisena participated in the General Assembly for the third time and addressed the assembly on the 19th of September.

This year’s theme is titled ‘Focusing on People: Striving for Peace and a Decent Life for All on a Sustainable Planet’.
