Accident prevention week to get underway

The second accident prevention week is due to get underway today with the collaboration all groups committed towards preventing accidents.

The programmes are being initiated by the Ministry of Health and Indigenous Medicine. Accordingly the week will be in effect from today till the 22nd.

The Ministry noted efforts will be taken by the Health Ministry and the Police collectively with all relevant parties to educate the general public on possible accidents throughout the week.

Today will be dedicated to preventing road accidents, while tomorrow will be dedicated towards preventing accidents that occur in offices.

The 20th of September will focus on preventing household accidents, while the 21st will be committed to preventing accidents that occur in pre-schools.

The final day will be dedicated to preventing accidents in schools.
