Purchase and use of vehicles Sajin gives statement to FCID

Former United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Parliamentarian Sajin de Vass Gunawardena yesterday (28) appeared before the Financial Crimes Investigations Department (FCID) to make a statement regarding an alleged financial fraud.

Speaking to the media after giving the statement, Gunawardena said that SriLankan Airlines had filed a complaint with the FCID about the manner in which several vehicles were purchased and used by Mihin Lanka.

“Some of these allegations are not related to my term in Mihin Lanka. I only held the post of CEO of Mihin Lanka for 8 months.

The complainants have included claims which happened after my term. However, I gave my statement about what happened during my term at Mihin Lanka,” he added. (MD)
