Samurdhi benefits won’t be cut: President

President Maithripala Sirisena today assured that the government would not curtail the Samurdhi benefits to any of the recipients.

He said there were a large number of people who were yet to receive these benefits.

“The number of Samurdhi recipients will be increased but the benefits will not be curtailed,” he said at a ceremony held in Embilipitiya.
