The Ministry of Health has made the decision to launch a three-day dengue prevention programme within the Western Province, starting tomorrow (27).
The Ministry stated that households and their vicinities would be inspected under the programme.
On Day 2 (28), the programme aims to clean up school premises. Further school clean-ups would be conducted during the August school vacation, the Ministry stated, issuing an announcement.
The three-day programme will be launched on par with the project outlined by the World Health Organization (WHO) representatives which aims to reduce the number of dengue patients by 50 percent within the course of four weeks.
During the elapsed time period of 2017, 105,000 dengue patients have been reported thus far, with 301 casualties.
