Police said that the relevant number plate on the car used for the crime had been stolen from a vehicle that had been parked at a garage in Kalalgoda ,Thalawathugoda..
The owner of the car had also lodged a complaint with Police regarding the matter.

The Police media spokesmanâs office said that CCTV cameras at the scene of the crime, had recorded footage of the robbery taking place.
