The registration number of the car used by the suspects in the Rs. 7.7Â million robbery has been determined.

Police said that the relevant number plate on the car used for the crime had been stolen from a vehicle that had been parked at a garage in Kalalgoda ,Thalawathugoda..
The owner of the car had also lodged a complaint with Police regarding the matter.
This crime took place in close proximity to Basilica School in Ragama last afternoon.
A gang approached the van carrying the cash in a white car.
The van was intercepted, shots were fired at its tires using T 56 firearms and Rs. 7.7 million was stolen at that point.
The Police media spokesman’s office said that CCTV cameras at the scene of the crime, had recorded footage of the robbery taking place.
An investigation has been launched, where this footage is being analysed.
