Due to active southwest monsoonal conditions, showery weather is expected during next few days in the south western part of the country and the possibility of continuing rain in the Kegalle, Rathnapura and Kalutara districts is high, the Met. Department said.
Fairly strong winds about 50 kmph can be expected over Northern half of the island, Uva province and in the Hambantota district.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and North-Western provinces.
Fairly heavy showers (above50mm) can be expected at some places, particularly in Kegalle, Rathnapura, Kaluthara, Gampaha, Colombo and Kurunegala districts.
